Heys First Aid Training

WELCOME

We are able to provide First Aid Training to individuals and companies. Based in the Telford area of Shropshire we carry out training throughout the UK.

We are large enough to cope with all your training needs but small enough to care for you as individual clients. Our trainers have recently completed courses for companies such as: Rolls Royce, Quorum and Southern Cross.

All of our courses are certified by Aid Training and Operations Ltd. This means that where required they hold HSE approval.

Heys First Aid is a member of the Association of First Aiders and Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.

First Aid at Work (FAW)

This course meets the HSE requirements for the Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981. The course is run over 3 days and contains both theory and practical sessions. It can be adapted to suit your company's circumstances (e.g. Clerical office or engineering workshop.) These courses are run on dates to suit once we have a course full of participants. Requalification courses of Two Days duration are also available. The next full open course will run 28th - 30th May 12 and 27th - 29th June 2012.

Cost: £180
A dedidcated course for up to 12 people can be run for your company, price on application.

The next requalification course is scheduled for 26th - 27th April 12.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

This used to be known as the appointed person course and meets the HSE requirements as such. This is a one day course with both theory and practical sessions. We normally run at least one course a month, dates can be arranged. The next open courses are 8th June 12 and 18th June 12.

Cost: £60 per person.

Automated External Defibrillation

Defibrillation is the only known therapy for cardiac arrest. The scientific evidence in support of their use is overwhelming.
We offer half day courses that conform to current resuscitation council guidelines, in order to ensure that you have staff trained in the use of this equipment.

A dedicated course for up to 8 people can be run for £280;
Individuals can join an open course for £40 per person.

Paediatric First Aid Introduction

This one day course focuses on delivering First aid for babies and children. It is ideally suited for parents and babysitters. The course fulfils the requirements of the voluntary section of the OFSTED register. Complete courses of up to 12 people can be booked by organisations at a cost of around £275. Open courses are run for individuals wanting training please contact us for more information. The next open courses are scheduled for 19th June 12 and 16th July 12. Cost is £25 per person.

Paediatric First Aid Advanced

This two day course delivers First Aid training that focuses on babies and children. It is designed for those that work full time with babies or children such as nursery workers. The course fulfils the requirements of the compulsory section of the OFSTED register. We limit course sizes to 12 people and these can be booked by organisations at a cost of around £550.
